St. Joachimsthal School

Anton Günther attended the civic school (Bürgerschule) here as a boy. In Joachimsthal — today Jáchymov — he developed his early love for the Ore Mountains dialect and homeland. No specific school building survives as an identified site. The photo shows a view over Jáchymov with a mine headframe and the church of St. Joachim.
